Project overview
The aim of the project is to develop a multi-sector urban development impact model (UrbMod). The new model combines the interdisciplinary knowledge of social, natural and engineering sciences to obtain a more complete picture of the effect of cities on their inhabitants. With the help of the model optimal approaches to increase the well-being in cities will be identified. The project focusses on the city of Hamburg with the target parameter “health” as an example of well-being.
Project contribution
The MeMi contribution to the project can be divided into three topics:
- Development of meteorological components for UrbMod (UV-radiation and perceived temperature)
- Development of an evaluation strategy for UrbMod
- Assessment of the transferability of UrbMod to other cities and other components of well-being.
- Duration: 2015-01 to 2017-12
