The fifth European reanalysis, ERA5, is the most widely used dataset for understanding atmospheric circulation and trends since the mid-20th century. The Atmospheric Dynamics and Predictability Group at the Meteorological Institute has analysed ERA5 in terms of wave motions and published an online atlas that includes mean fields and variability associated with two linear wave regimes: Rossby waves and inertia-gravity waves, as well as the Kelvin wave and mixed Rossby-gravity wave in forthcoming versions. The ERA5 atlas plots can be downloaded, and the data are available upon request.
