HALO aircraft takes off for first EUREC4A flight

The EUREC4A campaign investigating clouds in the trade wind regions gains momentum! Today at 16:00, the HALO research aircraft will take off for the first research flight. In addition, the Meteorological Institute contributes to observations on broad the research vessel Meteor and at the Barbados Cloud Observatory.
