M.Eng. Chrystalyn Ivie S. Ramos

Chrystalyn Ivie Ramos is a professional agricultural engineer. She studied Agricultural Engineering at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), Philippines, with a specialization in Agricultural and Bioprocess Engineering. Her Master of Engineering degree in Energy Technology is from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, where she investigated thermal storage systems for air heating and drying applications using the TRNSYS simulation program during her master's thesis (abstract). Her thesis work was done under the framework of the Renewable Energy Technologies in Asia (RETs in Asia) programme sponsored by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and coordinated by AIT.
Her PhD research at the Research Unit Sustainability and Global Change focuses on the conversion of non-food agricultural products to bioenergy in the form of biofuels, heat and power through economic and energy modeling using GAMS software in the perspective of the European Non-Food Agriculture (ENFA) project funded by the European Union.
