Subject

Subroject T2.1 "Quantification of the effect of adaptation measures on the climate in the metropolitan region of Hamburg" is a part of the subject area T2 "Integrated urban development". Objectives are:

  • quantification of effects of adaptation measures on urban climate for the metropolitan region of Hamburg
  • development of adaptation measures to decrease the climate effect by optimum town planning and spatial planning.

The effect of adaptation measures is analysed particularly in view of the following parameters:

  1. Temperature
  2. Relative humidity
  3. Precipitation
  4. Wind
  5. Short-wavy radiation
  6. Apparent temperature

Methodically, data will be analysed and models be applied. The model system M-SYS with its components METRAS and MITRAS will be applied. Furthermore, wind tunnel measurements will be performed and the Klimamichel be applied to calculate comfort temperatures. Data (from DWD, federal state authorities, service group adaptation) and statistical procedures will be uses. The results of this TPs are utilised within and outside by KLIMZUG-NORD.
